Admin

Only users with Reporting Admin License have access to this tab.

What is it used for (purpose)?

View only access to all reports created in the reporting application and their settings

How to use Reporting Admin?

  • The Admin tab displays a list of all reports in the Reports Catalog with their Report Name, Description Summary, Created Date and Report Icon.
  • Search - use this funtion to find reports
  • Count - total number of reports
  • Sort Options, default option is Recent (Displays reports sorted by creation date, from newest to oldest)
    • Name - Displays reports sorted alphabetically by Report Name (A–Z) 
  • Report card - for each report the following is visible:
    • Report Name
    • Description Summary
    • Created Date
  • Report Detail (right pane) for a selected report
    • the Detail page is visible by default
    • Collapsible menu items for a selected report are the following and match the Catalog tab:
      • Detail - see Description Summary, Global Report Parameters, Report Parameters (by sheet)
      • Information - see Description, Created By, Created Date, Updated By, Updated Date and Last Run Date.
      • History - see Report Run History: data & time when the report was run, Requested By, Status badge (e.g. Completed, Errored) and type (Manual or Scheduled)
      • Schedules - see all schedules for the report: Next Run, Last Execution, Created By, Frequency badge (Daily, Weekly, Monthly), Status badge (Active, Archived, Paused). Owner badge wil be visible if Admin user is also the owner of a report
        • if a schedule is owner by the Admin user, when clicked you are taken to Scheduled Reports tab and if you have access you can Edit/Pause/Archive/Go to Report as normal.
        • If you do not have access, all actions are disabled
      • Run Security - see if a report is publc (appears in the catalog for anyone with a reporting license) OR
        • if the report is restricted, the User(s) / Group(s) allowed to run and/or download the report
        • These settings cannot be edited in Admin
      • Report Security - see reporting security access: the User(s) / Group(s) allowed to view and/or edit the report
        • These settings cannot be edited in Admin
      • Data Sources - see for each sheet in the report
        • Name of process
        • Search function exists
        • User / Group detail is visible with Create & Run permissions
